InksterInc resident artist Lina Luong has made another adorable Ghibli design. This time, it's Ponyo themed! Check it out:

Ponyo (2008) is a Studio Ghibli movie about a little fish-girl who wishes to become fully human after falling in love with a little boy. Kind of like the little mermaid, but more abstract and MUCH cuter!

Here are some stills from the movie, along with 5 neat facts you may or may not have known!

1. Like many other Studio Ghibli movies, Ponyo was first released in Japanese. Ghibli then worked with Disney for the English translation. The movie had an all-star cast, including stars like Tina Fey, Matt Damon, Cate Blanchett, Liam Neeson and Betty White. Ponyo was voiced by Noah Cyrus, Miley Cyrus' younger sister.

2. The film won several awards, including the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year. It also earned over $200 million worldwide upon release.

3. Ponyo's birth name was "Brunhilde" (a valkyrie from Germanic mythology). Before she ran away, she lived underwater with her father and many sisters. Her father was once a human wizard and scientist, but chose to live underwater out of distaste for the human world.

4. Sosuke, the young human boy Ponyo falls in love with, is the first to name her Ponyo - upon first meeting, he thinks she is just a goldfish (not realizing she's magical and part human) and names her much like a pet. Ponyo adopts her new name in a fight with her father before she runs away to the human world to find Sosuke.

5. Sosuke's character is based off of Hayao Miyazaki's son, Goro Miyazaki, when he was 5.

6. Koganeimaru - the ship Sosuke's father works at - is named after Studio Ghibli's location in Koganei, Tokyo, Japan. Maru is a common ending for ship names in Japan.
